What is FUE hair transplant?
Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE) is the gold-standard technique in hair transplantation. Individual follicular units are harvested one by one from the donor area at the back and sides of the scalp, leaving no linear scar.
Harvesting takes approximately 2–4 hours depending on the number of grafts required. Preparation of the recipient area — creating the tiny incisions that determine the angle, direction and density of your new hairline — then takes a further 1–2 hours, after which the harvested grafts are implanted one at a time.
